Dr. Jonathan Berns, D.C. - Clinic Director Dr. Berns is a Chiropractor serving the Wesley Chapel, FL community.
Dr. Berns is a second generation chiropractor and a graduate of the prestigious Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. He received a Bachelor in Science degree from the University of Illinois where he was also a member of the Fighting Illini football team.
Dr. Sev Kessler, D.C. Dr. Sev Kessler attended Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO, where he received a degree in 2002 in General Biology and Chemistry and a minor in Business Administration. Dr. Kessler first discovered Chiropractic during his time as a professional skier. He herniated three of his discs at the age of only 23 and was told he would need an operation to fuse his spine. Leery of the idea of surgery with a life-altering end result, he decided to look into other alternative forms of treatment and was told of chiropractic. He is quoted as saying, “She saved my life,” in reference to the Doctor of Chiropractic who treated him. Afterwards, he went on to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, FL. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, he now resides in the Tampa Bay area with his wife, Kate, and his son, Brighton.
Dr. William Abrahams, D.C. Dr. William Abrahams was born and raised in southwest Virginia where he first learned of Chiropractic through his local Chiropractic Physician. Dr. Abrahams attended Radford University and completed a degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. He went on to receive his Doctorate of Chiropractic from the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, FL. He completed his internship here locally in the Tampa Bay area before joining the clinical staff at LifeSource Health & Wellness shortly afterwards. His energy and enthusiasm for Chiropractic and nutrition can be seen by all those around him and he continues to strive to improve the lives of those around him.
ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF
Courtney Mizner - Office Manager
Courtney Cox Mizner was born and raised in Brandon, MS, where she attended highschool and community college before moving to the Tampa Bay area. She attended the University of South Florida for Accounting when she began working for LifeSource Health & Wellness in January 2009. She is currently taking graduate classes in Accounting as well and has plans to sit for the CPA upon completion of those courses. She has over seven years in the business administrative field.
LifeSource is where Courtney first learned about the healing power of chiropractic care and also where she received her first adjustment. She and her husband, Justin, welcomed their first son, Owen Bryce, into the world on December 1, 2010, and he received his first adjustment at only 3 days old. All of her family continues to get regularly adjusted and benefits from maintenance care. They currently reside in Wesley Chapel, FL.
Brittany Maas - Patient Advocate
Brittany Maas, originally from High Point, North Carolina, currently attends the University of South Florida for a degree in Business Management. She will graduate in December 2011, and then continue to work full-time as one of LifeSource’s Patient Advocates. Brittany had four years of administrative experience before starting at LifeSource in March 2011. She loves working hand-in-hand with patients on a daily basis and directing them to have the best Chiropractic experience possible while achieving the most out of their care. She currently resides in Tampa, FL.
Bethany Dick - Insurance and Billing Liaison
Bethany Dick joined the LifeSource team in February 2011. She has a Business degree in Health Management from Murray State University, and over 17 years experience in the healthcare financial management field. Bethany can answer any questions you might have regarding billing or insurance of patient accounts. She and her husband, Craig, have 3 daughters and currently reside in Kentucky.
Brittany Brown – Medical Records Clerk
Brittany is brand new to the LifeSource team as of July 2011. She currently attends the University of South Florida and is working on obtaining her Bachelor’s in Communications with a minor in Professional writing. She plans to graduate in May 2013. In her spare time, Brittany thoroughly enjoys writing her own songs and performing whether thru singing, guitar, or piano.

Lacy Counts - Client Relations Director Holly Ritchie - Community Outreach Coordinator
Holly Ritchie started with LifeSource in February 2011. A Michigan native, Holly moved here to attend the University of South Florida and will be graduating May 2012 with a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Social Science. She has years of marketing experience directly related to online marketing, web design, networking groups, and search engine optimization. This experience allows her to prosper at LifeSource with helping bring the message of true health to the local community.
